Title: ATT Callvantage with LinuxMCE
Post by: alphapenguin on March 28, 2008, 06:17:08 am
Has anyone had any luck trying to get the ATT Callvantage VOIP to work with the LinuxMCE Asterisk?
For one thing, I am having a bear of a time finding anyone else trying this with LinuxMCE, and a hard time finding out how to connect just a regular pots line to linuxmce. The Wiki never really talks about setting up a POTs line with the system. Just talks about those other VOIP services listed.

edit: well apparently I missed this link

That link is a start to figuring out how to get an analogue line working.
If I cant figure this callvantage out, I may have to keep researching this.

You'd need to get an FXO card like the X100P.  Callvantage is not a real SIP voip provider like others.  Until AT&T  stops it's quest for world domination you'll never be able to connect using a username, password, and host using asterisk without their ATA somewhere in he middle.
