Title: root password after installing from LinuxMCE-DVD-0710Beta4-i386
Post by: erasmix on March 22, 2008, 12:37:41 am
Hello,

I just installed from the 0710 beta DVD. Its a wipe all install, however it never asked me to set the root password. So I assume it's set to something in the documentation, but I couldn't find it. I also tried "root" and blank password without success. Can anybody tell me what the root password is set to?

Thanks,

Erasmo.

Sorry PeteK, I dont understand. linuxmce is neither the root password, nor the linuxmce user has root privileges. Could you please clarify?

Thanks for replying,

Erasmo.

the password given above are correct, unless you are attaching to the media directors whereas the user name is root and the password is blank
