Does anyone know if you have to have Xine installed on a Windows machine in order to watch media within the Windows orbiter?

thanks

The Windows Orbiter is just that... an Orbiter. It acts as a remote interface or remote control for the LinuxMCE system... it has no capability to play back media locally. Typically you use the Windows Orbiter, the N800 Orbiter and Cisco Phone Orbiter the same way... you set them to control the 'Room' that one of your MD's is located in and then they become a remote control for that MD.
