Title: Can I watch ogg video files under LMCE ?
Post by: bulek on March 19, 2008, 12:01:35 pm
Hi,

it seems that LMCE doesn't recognize them as playable (have them in directory, but they are not shown in media browser)...

Is this only LMCE limitation or Xine ?

Thanks in advance,

regards,

Bulek.

You can probably just add ogg as described here: http://forum.linuxmce.org/index.php?topic=3111.msg15401#msg15401

As the OGG is associated with the "audio" files, I would suggest you to change extension of video files to the OGM. This extension is recognized by the LinuxMCE as "stored video file" so you should see them in the Video(s) list. Of course this is a workaround, as the correct solution would include the "probing" files to analyze their contents. This will probably be implemented later.
