Title: How Do I add new applications to the KDE Desktop
Post by: mpnorth on February 26, 2008, 05:20:43 pm
Hi

I expect that this is a really stupid question but how do I add new apps to the KDE desktop ? A new email client for example.  I come from SUSE and YAST is the tool on that distro, I can't find anything obvious on the standard desktop that looks like an app for adding apps. If that's not too incestuous  :-X

Any Pointers ?

Thanks

i believe the add app was taken out of the desktop due to some programs causing conflict...  you can still load programs throught apt-get install, just be aware of possible problems

Thanks for the reply

Does that mean that programs thatcan  work quite happily together under Kubuntu 7.04 no longer work with LINUXMCE installed   :( ?
