Hi all,
i want to install LinuxMCE but i cant find any information about the required disk space. Can somebody tell me how much i need an least?
Moreover i do not want to use every feature of LinuxMCE, i do not need telecomunication or home automation stuff... can i install linuxmce without these features to save disk space?

A 10gig partition would be ample to just experiment in (use the CD installer though to do this as the DVD install will overwrite the whole physical driver you install to!)
Currently there is no way to omit any feature... so you have to take it all I'm afraid ;-)

:-X 10GB? That is pretty much for a CD installation... i was thinking about a Compact-Flash-storage solution.

Hmmm.... well you might just about get away with 6gig. Get a big Flash card ;-)
or just create a 6-10gig partition on your drive and install Kubuntu to that then install LinuxMCE from the CD's... thats even easier.

I would not recommend a LinuxMCE install on a CF...
LinuxMCE is a full Smart House Server and not just a MediaPC.
It's not just a CD install it's 1xKubuntu CD + 2xLinuxMCE CD's + Online Repositories, or a full DVD + Online Repositories.
If you are looking for a small Media PC installation for a single PC/TV I would recommend either Freevo, Geekbox or Mythbuntu.
They are much better suited for a CF install and does most of what LinuxMCE does on the Media side without all the extras.
