Title: MD/CORE Differences
Post by: kg6ejp on January 03, 2008, 05:46:37 pm
As I have been reading I thought the Media Driectors (MD) and COREs were the same machine?  I was reading today that they are different, can anyone elaborate?

Thanks for your time,

Aron

In a nutshell, your core CAN be a media director also... they call it a hybrid..  the core is your server so to speak and handles everything.... you can also configure it to display media and then it becomes a hybrid.....  you can also have media directors that are diskless machines that boot off the network from your core for playing media files....
