Title: Where to buy Gigabyte TA3 or good low power consuming MD
Post by: tzinternet on November 30, 2007, 09:29:07 pm
I the Gigabyte TA3 on the wiki as a Media Director (http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Gigabyte_TA3)and was wondering if anyone is still using it and if so where they bought it at as I can't seem to find one?

I am trying to build a decent system with 1 core and 1 MD for well under $1000 that works well.  If I can get the Media Director machines down cheap enough that we can start putting them in different rooms at the house.

We can supply the TA3/TA7 and many other C7/CN700/CX700 Via based MD's complete with lmce-0704 compatible graphics drivers.

The TA3 with C3 @ 800Mhz/512mb RAM is £94.95 (+ 17.5% VAT & Shipping) and includes Unichrome Pro drivers for lmce-0704
The TA7 with C7 @ 1Ghz/512mb RAM is £137.95 (+ 17.5% VAT & Shipping) and includes Unichrome Pro drivers for lmce-0704

Thanks, I hope you don't mind but I've renamed UK to United Kingdom and reordered the countries alphabetically, so it's now: http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Where_to_Buy#United_Kingdom.

Just Googled for TA3 resellers in the US and didn't find any... so maybe not. Maybe Gigabyte have stopped selling them in the US

Bummer.  How about a good reputable place that a US person can buy from overseas then?

Hi again,

A guy that I know has a TA3 (UK power Supply) that he is probably going to sell on eBay. If your interested send me a private message here and I will pass on your contact details to him.
