wow, so it's pretty much exactly the via reference design with a faster CPU, or atleast it looks like it's a faster cpu from their specs.

Does MythTV work on the station?  Can you watch live tv on the station?

Good day ddamron. Have you got a pic of the inside of the case?

There are any proprietary hardware at all? What about the support for home automation. Is there some sort of x10 interface card in there?

No, I didn't take a pic of the inside of the case...

The unit is currently in use, I can't take it apart for a bit...

As to proprietary hardware, it's not really proprietary...  It's got 40G HD, WLAN, Gb LAN, 1 RS232 port, etc..
You could connect a CM11A to the RS232 port... or, I would recommend a PLM.. (insteon)

If you can hook that to your core, I would suggest that first...

Insteon support is coming along nicely..

Hope that answers your questions...

Hmmm.. Sounds quite odd to me. I would think that TV is one of the main features of LMCE and when Fiire sets up their "special" boxes for LMCE, the TV application is not working. Anyone that can explain to me why this is so and if it only is a temporary problem?

Yeah.  I didn't learn this until AFTER I bought mine... :(

Fiire does not use KDE.

They warped their own version of SARGE without KDE to get their custom drivers to work.
I might add, that they are not even FULL UI/2...  The Pop Up menus are NOT UI/2...
Well, anyway, when they did that, MythTV refused to run on the warped client...
Check out the 2.2" review for the actual response..
