Title: Unable to add media
Post by: archived on September 16, 2005, 05:56:12 am
I just finished my first install of Pluto hybrid. The install appeared to go ok. I can access the web admin but I am unable to connect to the Samba shares. I can see Pluto in Network Neighborhood and I have tried manually mapping but no luck. The connection just times out. I have tried connecting from XP, Win2K and Win2k3. Any ideas what I need to do?

Please help, I really want to get Pluto working.

My guess would be that you are using only one ethernet port/card and the firewall is blocking the port for the samba shares. Open the port in the firewall on pluto and you should have no problems.

Are you connecting from inside the Pluto subnet or from outside it?
