Title: new MD with HD on DELL GX 270

Hello,

I just install a new MD (the 2nd in my network, first is the CORE) on a DELL OPTIPLEX GX 270,PIV2260/512/40/CD-ROM.
install ok but when I launch the MD it says ;  generate screen failed.

there's an option under 'advanced' called 'quick regen router'.
try that

Yes I have tried not without success. I have choose UI2 with a i810 maybe I must choose standart?

From what I have understood, the intel chipsets can only do UI1, which is always a safe bet.

Allthough I think the "generate screen failed" isn't directly related, so you might want to delete the diskless media director and try again.

The normal error message for a failed UI2 setup would be something like 'MD failed to set up transparency' or something along those lines.
Trying UI1 can't hurt either

I have try to reinstall MD but still the same error message.
Failed to Regenerate skiin for Orbiter.
???

first time : Install live Cd kubuntu 7.04 and then launch the mce installer from the CD1 of LMCE 0704.
second time just relaunch the MCe installer again.

It is working now thanks. I rebooted the core which was in a unstable state. I have some problem with this core. I think it must be the Nvidia card :-(
