Title: Am I just being a dumb ass?
Post by: torabian on November 01, 2007, 08:57:53 pm
Hi all,

I installed mce on an i386 and after eventually getting it going liked it enough to go out and buy the M2NPV-VM that everyone harps on about. So far so good with the op install, however......

The install CD gives an i386 installer. I can't find an amd64 version of the disk anywhere, so how exactly are you supposed to install it on this architecture???

Please throw the dummy a bone someone..

there is no 64 bit version of linuxmce. i believe there were people that had it working on 64 bit versions of ubuntu or kubuntu. maybe one of them will be able to give you some tips. try searching around on here and see if you can find their posts.

(EDIT) i was looking...i think i remembered wrong....no one ever managed to get it going with a 64 bit version of K/Ubuntu that i could find. youre stuck with 32 for now.
