Title: NetStream DigiLinX IP-Based Multi-Room Audio
Post by: archived on September 08, 2005, 02:41:55 am
In my searches for a way to have multi zone audio i've come across these devices by NetStream., the SpeakerLinX SL220
http://www.netstreams.com/fl_default.html

They seem to be trade only, but if we could control them as an audio zone then all you would need to do is add speakers, unlike the squeezeboxes which need an amplifier as well.
These SpeakerLinX SL20 could be a really good choice for in ceiling speaker solutions without adding the need for full media directors, or extra kit in your rack with the CORE.

From reading the pdf files about it, they seem to have a web interface and use flash. Not found much else about them, but if these were supported i could see them being really useful.

that is quite interesting.  We will send them an e-mail to see if they're interested in working with us.  However unless they're doing something wildly proprietary enclosed, chances are we can provide basic integration even without their support.  We would just need somebody who had the system up and running and let us login remotely and see how easy it is to control it.  Do know anybody who has real-world experience with this product?  Or has it installed?
