Title: Automatic settings backup
Post by: Hagen on September 26, 2007, 10:57:12 am
I have used the possibility from the admin site to do backups of the settings and storing them on another computer.
Would there be a way to make this automatically?
say once a week, keeping five or six weeks backlog?

I often forget to do the backups when I have to do it manually, and this could save someone a bit trouble when reinstalling.

It would be really nice to be able to tie it to a timed event, although I have no idea what that would take.

But for now, if somebody knows how to start a backup from the commandline then it can just be scheduled in cron, together with a find command to delete or archive the older logs.
