Title: Hauppauge Nova S Plus installation
Post by: LukeNZ on September 03, 2007, 11:42:11 pm
Hi everyone,

I am new to Linux and have just installed LinuxMCE with the quick DVD.

I have 2 Hauppauge Nova S Plus Tuners installed but are not recognised or shown in the MCE setup wizard.

How do I install the drivers etc to get them working?

Thanks

Few TV cards are recognised in the LMCE setup wizard.
Start by going to TV in LMCE to bring up mythtv. Somewhere in the myth setup there is an option to add cards, see if yours appears there.
I not sure if DVB-S cards are generically supported in the current kubuntu kernel. If not you will see 'failed to access card' for every card type in the myth setup.

Try google-ing dvb-s and mythtv
