Title: No Audio for .mov files
Post by: cafedumonde on September 06, 2016, 12:51:26 am

Hi, I have just restored an archive of movie files that worked previously on my old 810 system. Video is fine for all but some of the .mov files don't have audio. I suspect that some codecs associated with QuickTime are missing. Are there any suggestions?

I saw this old thread and thought to post the solution. The issue was not with .mov files at all. Rather, many of my .mov files were encoded at a DTS bitrate that I expect was incompatible with my receiver. The issue is solved by re-encoding the audio track as Dolby using FFMPEG.
