Title: Snapshot 20151106143331585-i386

Hi,

So far no joy in Mudville (x2 attempts).

Will try swinging whole chicken counterclockwise at midnight while reciting 'V's 5th of November speech.

Evey Hammond: Who are you?

V: Who? Who is but the form following the function of what and what I am is a man in a mask.

Evey Hammond: Well I can see that.

V: Of course you can. I'm not questioning your powers of observation; I'm merely remarking upon the paradox of asking a masked man who he is.

Evey Hammond: Oh. Right.

V: But on this most auspicious of nights, permit me then, in lieu of the more commonplace sobriquet, to suggest the character of this dramatis persona.

V: VoilĂ ! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition.

[carves "V" into poster on wall]

V: The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous.

V: [giggles]

V: Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.

Evey Hammond: Are you, like, a crazy person?

V: I am quite sure they will say so. But to whom, might I ask, am I speaking?

Evey Hammond: I'm Evey.

V: Evey? E-V. Of course you are.

Evey Hammond: What does that mean?

V: It means that I, like God, do not play with dice and do not believe in coincidence. Are you hurt?

Gee, at school I was taught to "always avoid alliteration".

Will try to install again.

Cheers

:D  I *just* finished watching that movie.  Brilliant.  I'm also trying the snapshot.

And, I have a near perfect install.  Virtual Box installation, 640x480 VGA, UI1, stereo sound in avwiz, Sarah shows properly, all the way to orbiter displaying.  If your experience is different then please try the above settings.  I'm aware of some bugs in AVWizard (bitch of a thing to troubleshoot) that could crop up, these are specifically seperate from the DVD install working or not.  Let us know what happens and we may need to get into *very* specific information about what you are doing and how you are configuring the install so we can try to trace the issues.

Above all I need to have more specific information about your configuration attempt and exactly when/where/why/how it is failing.

As always thanks for testing!

OK,

Third times the charm.

First time system froze with a black screen.

Second time the mouse/keyboard died when trying to select analog, hdmi, etc for audio output.

I guess the chicken thing worked, but I didn't know it was suppose to be a dead chicken.

The neighbours are mad at me but the cops aren't going to press charges about the noise.

I'm going to start adding peripherals and try to make a MD or two.

Cheers

Darn!

I logged into terminal 1 and the system reported that a system restart was required (after initial install).

I restarted and now, no joy.

decrouter login:   reports       init: plymouth-stop pre-start process (XXXX) terminated with status 1  (where XXXX is the PID #).

No X window.
