Title: Last update set drives offline

Curious...after running the latest update, my mediadrives were set offline in webadmin.I could still access them in the mediafile browser and from the console....after setting them online and sideload router, everything was back....wonder if it will survive a reboot though.

Please observe and report back. There was a small change done in the Storage Radar that might affect the drives.

Is your media drive a mdadm RAID?

No, I don't use raid ...just 2 ordinary disks

Does your drive have a UUID or is it simply identified by it's block device.  I will admit that I only added the UUID stuff.  Check your device template and if it does not have a UUID but has a block device ID then let me know and I'll fix that up this weekend.  If it is UUID based then it should be working.  Let us know!  Thanks!

My drives got both their uuid...no problem there

uuid identification is working properly.  Please be sure you are up to date with current packages.

Hi,

I just did an update, upgrade, dist-upgrade on my 14.04 dup HDD.

I haven't done anything on 14.04 for about a month.  (Hey, it's summer, it's hot and it's beer, bikini and boating season!)

I did not have anything populated under Media (off my NAS) for about 20 minutes.  UpdateMedia is still running and running.

Webadmin for NAS file server views shows nothing populated under UUID (same as 12.04).

I did not have to check online box.

Did you upgrade from 10.04?  If so you need to have username/password on your NAS because of changes to enhanced security in 12.04.

I wasted a lot of time running down symbolic link errors because I did not have password protection on 10.04 for my NAS when I upgraded to 12.04 (hence 14.04).

Hey pigdog!

Both of these are expected for NAS based shares.  They will not get a UUID, nor should they be affected by any of the recent changes to udev.  Glad to hear that the NAS stuff is functioning for you!

I can confirm for my server, that after reboot  the drives are offline again

I guess Storage_DevicesRadar needs a bit of an overhaul

To be clear:  A router reload is not setting them offline, only on full reboot?

Was my bad.  Missed a couple more things in the move from hal to udev.  Fix will be in the next update.   :D
