Title: dianemo iphone app
Post by: iberium on August 28, 2012, 07:34:02 pm
I have been using this for awhile and it works great.  My only problem is that I have to use roaming orb when I'm not home.  I'm using a dns entry to connect in both cases.  Is there something that I have to do to make the dianemo app connect remotely?

Choose connect locally and put your hostname into the server address.

I had actually tried this before I posted, but it doesn't work. My remote hostname works fine with roaming orb.  I figured there might be some ports that need to be forwarded for this app or something.  I just got a new iPhone 5 also, and the dianemo app sometimes quits responding.  The only way I can get it back is to use the web orbiter and then the app will respond again.

If you have a Dianemo S installation then you can optionally get a Remote Access account/login and then you can put those details into the Username & Password fields of the Connection Settings for your NC. You can then use the 'Connect Remotely' option to connect to your installation from a remote location - you just need an Internet Connection.

All the best
