Hi Guys
Living in South Africa our satellite provider is DSTV/Multichoice.
And to have any kind of quality from them you need to go to HD since capturing SD and having myth show it on a HD screen you just
really end up with crappy quality TV.
I did some research on their decoder and it seems the only way to get HD quality out of it is through HDMI.
Now the problem I have is that the HDMI port needs to be HDCP compliant.
Is there any recording devices out there that supports this?
As I would still like to be able to record the shows through mythtv and not using the decoder.
Any info will be greatly appreciated.

It seems you should be able to utilize the stream directly http://dvb.atspace.org/

Thanks Posde.
Has anyone got experience with the DVB-S cards?
If I understand this correctly I will have to get the following:
DVB-S Card :
http://www.dvbshop.net/product_info.php/info/p134_Technotrend-Budget-S-1500-incl--CI---TT-Viewer.html
Then a CI link:
http://www.dvbshop.net/product_info.php/info/p12_Technotrend-Budget-PCI-CI--for-Budget-Nova-Serie-.html
And then a CAM Module:

Sorry for the stupid questions, but as you can see these things arent exactly cheap and I do not want to get the wrong components.
Regards

I would contact local people, and/or the person who wrote the page and get their feedback.
