Title: SVN error trying to install 1004
Post by: philtrick on May 08, 2011, 01:44:32 pm
Hi,
(All spaces in links intentional, as not allowed to post links yet)

Just trying to install 1004 as detailed in the wiki:
 /Installing_1004

When I try to check out the install script, I get a connection error:
svn co LINK REMOVED
svn: OPTIONS of 'LINK REMOVED': could not connect to server (address of svn server)

The host can be pinged, but the subversion service seems not to be running?

Is there another way to get the script?

Thanks,

Phil

svn is down at the moment due to harddisk problems. we are working on it.

Thanks for letting me know.

So the best option is an image then?

Is there any way to donate toward a new disk?

Cheers,

Phil

Yes, buy webspace from www.abaton.at

abaton is providing web space and traffic to us. svn was the last server still running on an older system operated and paid for by danielk. We will now move svn into the abaton infrastructure as well. It should be completed by early afternoon CET May 9th.

Thanks to hari the DNS has been updated, and svn is up and running again. If you still have problems accessing svn.linuxmce.org, please wait up to 2 hours, and things should be working. If you still can't access svn.linuxmce.org after 1300CEST let us know.
