Title: Graphic card support
Post by: phanosp on February 03, 2011, 12:59:41 pm
Hi,

does anybody knows if the LinuxMCE support the i3/i5 core intergraded graphics? I am planning on building an HTPC on that setup and I was wondering if I could install LinuxMCE on my HTPC.

Thanks,

phanosp

I'm betting (hoping) intel graphics will be better supported with 1004 even though nvidia will still be the better choice.  I wouldn't count on it with 0810.  It should boot using the basic user inteface... but thats about it alot of video stuff would look so great...

Hi joerod and thanks for the reply. i was hopping to build a lower cost system that consumes less power using the i5 core graphics instead for NVidia. Is there an estimation when the 1004 version will be released? I have notice that the latest version is currently 810 beta, and it has been for some time now.

Thanks,

Also how about the support for sound drivers. What is the best audio card for LinuxMCE?
