Title: Advice On New Setup - Hardware/Networking
Post by: prvtjoker on January 08, 2011, 11:42:21 pm
Here is my current hardware setup:

House
- Gigabit network throughout house.

Main Room
- Pioneer Elite Receiver (non-network) - 82-TX I think
- DirecTv receiver - HD DVR
- 42" Pansonic Plasma

Office
- Cisco 3550 Switch
- PS3
- Windows 7 Box
- CentOS 5 Workstation

Basement
- Same setup as Main Room except for Pioneer Elite
- OpenFiler NAS with 1TB mirrored
- XBOX 360 and WII
- Cisco 3550 Switch
- Two Post Network Rack

I'd like to use LMC as my one stop device(s) to play all sources of media - music, DirecTV, ripped DVD's, internet source, etc. to all of my TV's and PC's. What would you guys recommend?

TIA
