Clarify what you exactly mean with optimize, ie stream quality, size etc

the 'only' thing i did so far is 'getting the tuner to work',
but the overall picture-quality isn't what i like it to be,
is there any way to get a better picture from my analog cable connection,

my thoughts:
because there is a function that you can pause live tv, so it does record, recording of a show is always on in the background (at least for a few seconds, showed up in the mythtv webadmin) this function makes me believe that you aren't watching 'live-tv' but the recording,
is this true?
and if so can u set the recording to a better quality?

Raymond

Well to my knowledge mythTV buffers for 1 a 2 seconds.
It is possible to set quality high in mythTV and some interlacing and noise reduction.
Didn't have any succes with it yet, but I cannot test it for you yet, hence my test setup is bust.
