Title: Allowing users of forums to link topics/posts together
Post by: william on August 27, 2010, 12:29:47 am
would it be possible in the future for users of the forum to link together posts put up on the same issues, to create a database of a single issue
e.g. i put up a post today about a mysql error 1604 there have been a couple of threads on this issue, it has been hard enough find these as these are not all the same subject heading but if the user of your forums had a button to link related items it may help reduce posts?
Just an idea

I agree with bongowongo - theoretically when someone has an issue with software integration with a specific piece of hardware, they search the wiki and don't find any mention of it, turn to the forums, once they get their answer it's within the community spirit to upload the issue and fix to the related wiki article. If you didn't know about the wiki it's at http://wiki.linuxmce.org
