Title: Anyone with problems connecting Windows XP Orbiter to 0810?
Post by: bp5 on August 16, 2010, 08:24:09 pm
Has anyone had problems getting a Windows XP orbiter connecting to an 0810 core? I checked the orbiter is defined correctly in the device tree, I filled in the device number and the ip address of the core (on the external lan) but it just shows the logger trying to connect as in this image: http://picasaweb.google.com/blaine.price/DropBox?authkey=Gv1sRgCNuA2-_T3Kf53QE#5506074289130575394 (http://picasaweb.google.com/blaine.price/DropBox?authkey=Gv1sRgCNuA2-_T3Kf53QE#5506074289130575394)

Has anyone seen this before?

cheers,
Blaine

Your network is not properly configured, be sure to use 2 nics, attach the orbiter to the internal network. Connect to 192.168.80.1

OK, my laptop was connected to both the external network on the LAN and the LMCE network on the WLAN and I wrongly assumed that I could connect to the core on its external IP address as well as the internal, now working fine connecting to core's LMCE IP address.

Thanks,
