Title: User setups not showing all categories
Post by: valent on June 06, 2010, 12:15:10 pm
Why zwave and voip setups aren't listed on setups page? - http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Category:User_Setups

If you look for example at hari's setup he put the correct cathegories in: http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/User:Hari but they aren't shown on main user setups page. How can I fix this?

Ok, I just see that they are all present in automation subcategory.

I have one question, why are some unimportant thins like from what country are the setups aren't in subcategories but zwave, X10 and Insteon are hidden in sub menues?

Locales arent 'unimportant' as they allow people to quickly see what people in their corner of the world are using. Installation of automation aspects varies across the world, so breaking it up geographically makes sense. The sub categories for automation techs like zwave, x10 and insteon there for the purpose of grouping the setups into what they use, again in an attempt to make it easier for people to be able to take examples and run with them. The previously mentioned tech's as well as others fall under the umbrella of 'automation'. Just like there is one for telecom.
