Ok, money was sent.
thanks, received!

Doorbell is funded.
BongoWongo is donating the Siren.

Thank you guys for helping adding device support to LMCE!!

btw, I bought a Fibaro Universal Binary Sensor, support will follow soon. Very recommended to hook up generic sensors or temp sensors.

Did you receive my money?
Nice to see that I ended up with the funding of the Siren.
I would hope the siren only produces loops of bongo jokes.

That would be against the UN convention. Even for the most evil intruder.

Hi Hari,

Just wondering if there's any updates you could share with us? I remember seeing on IRC something about a challenge with needing states and the LMCE architecture not being that well suited to it. Is this a showstopper or do you see a path through it?

Just to be clear, I don't expect updates from you simply because I pitched in for the hardware. That's unreasonable. But if you don't mind sharing your progress simply to satisfy my curiosity that would be great Smiley

Cheers

I'm working on a new Z-Wave DCE device together with Sambuca that uses the OpenZWave library. OZW was inspired by our work and got in a pretty decent shape already. The current code in LMCE is not well structured and would need a massive overhaul. It lacks too many things to support encryption. Initially it was just a proof of concept. It just worked quite well so it went into production :-)
While OZW does not yet support encryption in the main branch, there is some work done already. When the new DCE device works well with OZW, we're looking at the encryption bits.

Yes, thanks for that.

One question for clarification: Would any z-wave USB dongle work with the devices that need encryption because the encryption is happening at the software level or does the hardware also have to support it?
