Carputer?
« on: March 31, 2007, 06:33:41 am »
I am planning on installing a computer into my car, and recently found LinuxMCE. I want to install a touchscreen display in the car but I have no idea if LinuxMCE has any touchscreen drivers compatible with it yet. But i figure it might because it is run over Ubuntu (right?). But does anyone know if it does or doesn't?

Anyways any help would be appreciated thanks.

I guess you'll want to use UI1, because it will be very easy to use with a touchscreen.
Yes, if Ubuntu can manage to use it, linuxmce will be able to use it too.

Hi

Sounds cool, may i ask what software you are going to use on your carputer?
Got a via epia m2 myself mounted in the car, running gentoo.

egalax touchscreen drivers works nice on the k301 monitor.

Would love to get linuxMCE running on it, if there was an easy way to add gpsdrive to one of the menu's or something,
