Add/edit page on wiki
« on: August 30, 2012, 03:53:15 pm »
Hey,

I'm trying to write (mainly for myself) a page that explain the use of LinuxMCE with my home automation (eib).
Main reason behind it is to understand the setup and links between EIB-adresses/devices/events...
The work in progress can be found on http://oniriabe.dyndns.org:1111/intranet/index.php/weetjes/linux/linuxmce/254-eib

Still need to add/test some chapters, check the vocabulary...
Once it's completed I want to share it on the wiki pages. But I was wondering what i do best:
  • Create an user page?
  • Create/update an existing page?
  • Contact a moderator
Version: linuxMCE 1404, running virtual on ESXi

Orbiters: ASUS eeePAD, Nexus 5, Huwai, web
Automation: EIB technology, KNX IP ROUTER 750
Phones: Cisco 7912-7940-7960
Camera's: Foscam POE

It looks pretty much like user page type of content,... So, that's my suggestion.

Some of the content reads like a how-to, but not enough, in my opinion, to quality it for a how-to page, unless someone else requests it.

To create a user page, register on the wiki (now requires an active forum account, I understand, & which you have). Then search for your user name, and when it says there's no page for that, chose the option to create one.

See my User page on the LinuxMCE Wiki for a description of my system configuration (click the little globe under my profile pic).
